Rosewood follows the story of ingenious Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut) who is a Miami pathologist. He works autopsy-for-hire cases he can seems to know secrets of bodies police can't seem to find. But he doesn't work alone. His partner Detective Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) who doesn't take things lightly gets annoyed at times about his optimism but can't deny his unique ability.

Morris Chestnut has over 48 acting credits and is currently filmed a follow up of his popular movie " Best man. Called "Best Man Wedding" which is due to be released in 2016.
Jaina Lee Ortiz has 8 acting credits she is known for 2014 "The After" TV movie.
