USA Network's Exciting New Fall TV series the "Colony" Premiere date set For January 14th

Have you ever been so excited about a new series, that you could just since it was going to be something really special? Well USA Network new TV series "Colony" really looks like it's going to be it. Starring non other than the hunky Josh Holloway as Will bowman a former FBI agent. Okay most of you probably remember Josh as James 'Sawyer'  Ford in the TV series Lost. Josh Holloway was cast by executive producer Carlton Cuse.

It looks like fan's will probably have to say farewell to one of the beloved character's. Speculations is that Robbie Amell who plays Ronnie Raymond  (one half of the dual character) aka Firestorm may be getting a replacement for the role of Firestorm in DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

"Home Run" is one of those feely movies but also deals with abuse and forgiveness. Scott Elrod plays Corey Grant an alcoholic with a very bad temper that causes him to do something unimaginable.   He must repair his image.  Corey after a job is set up by his Agent/ Public Relations specialist the no nonsense, Helene vivica A. Fox ,against his own wishes, Corey must coach a little league team. Home Run has many lessons on forgiveness and the human spirit and fate.  If you love movies that give you the warm feeling by the end.  Can't go wrong with this one so please grab the Family and watch "Home Run".






Vivica A. Fox is listed to be back in her role along with Will Smith in Independence 2 in theaters June 24, 2016.

Yes Plies is showing them how it's done with ease,  I have said it before I love what this man stands for. He has done so much for others from paying college tuition, to buying schools supplies and helping families with incarcerated parents to name a few. You never really hear about the things plies and his brother Big Gates do to help the community. Even after being in the rap industry for years, Plies has not once changed his principles, what he believes in or engaged in rap smearing battles  As he said before in his own words. 'You never see people that are successful in rap going after unsuccessful people.' ABC's New Thriller Set for 2016: The Catch has Caught the Handsome and Talented Alimi Ballard

Yes, that's right. Very soon you will see fan favorite the handsome Alimi Ballard as he brings style and charm to Shonda Rhimes new ABC legal thriller "The Catch" TV series.

It's been reported as an idea from one of Kate Atkinson's Novel but the exact novel from which the main idea for  "The Catch" TV series comes from doesn't seem to be released yet. The Catch's main story line follows a forensic accountant named Alice (Mireille Enos)  who discovers her  true love and fiance Kieran (Damon Dayoub) is not at all who she  believed he was when she discovered he has targeted her in his own con game. Alimi Ballard plays Evan Derringer the very close friend to the troubled couple, who's also a successful businessman and art gallery owner.

You probably already recognize Alimi Ballard by his memorable smiling eyes and gorgeous smile and that's no surprise Mr. Ballard has over 50 credits to his resume. He can be seen as character favorites such as Herbal Thought in Fox TV's "Dark Angel" Special Agent David Sinclair in USA's "Numb3rs" and as Detective Kevin Crawford in CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigators.

Sorry ladies Alimi is happily married to actress and producer Dahn Ballard they have two beautiful children a boy and girl.

Yes!!! Fox's Lucifer's Premiere Date

Fox has set the premiere date for their "Lucifer" TV series for January 2016.  Sorry didn't catch it. Yes premiering 2016 was posted over and over. But think about it there's 12 months in 2016:)

Fox's "Lucifer" has the making of another hit like their Empire TV series has shown to be.  The "Lucifer" pilot showing at Comic Con in July gave some a glance at what to expect from the series and fans were not disappointed if you read my other post several who attended seem to agree Fox's "Lucifer" was going to be a winner for Fox.

Since my blog I have gotten many viewers and made some new friends. OK, I've seen it.  I loved it and my opinions are a bit different from some others Yes, Tom Ellis as Lucifer is everything that everyone has been saying. His natural personality and charm just jumps off and it's exactly how a devil is suppose to be:)  But my goodness they really hit the jackpot with Tom Ellis his character is going to reel viewers in.  Also the really wonderful chemistry that Tom Ellis's character Lucifer has with Lauren German as Detective Chloe Dance is amazing. The thought is nice but it's so impossible but they are so cute together. I won't go on any more it's not that much longer to wait.

Lesley Ann Brandt. (who is getting married. Please go and send her blessings. I will post their Twitter and Instagram accounts.) character Mazikeen does a wonderful job of trying to get Lucifer back into his devil mode. Reminding him of who he's suppose to be and what he's suppose to do.

My opinion is much different from the opinions of some Comic Con viewers on DB Woodside's character, Lucifer's big brother, the Angel Amenadiel.  Seeing it for myself.  I didn't have the same feelings about Amenadiel at all from the comments in another post. Amenadiel is a big brother. Kinda like the big brother that's tired of a little brother that keeps breaking rules and never gets punished and tries to punish him his way by any means, but in a much more serious supernatural powers kinda way.  I think DB Woodside is in his character, how it should be and very well.  Being a big fan in the past since "The Temptations" DB Woodside has always seem to portray his characters very well.

For those of you who might not be familiar when black people had "git togethers" a term used that meant visiting or gathering together food was used, especially sweets as ways of showing love. Inviting people in and feeding them also. Because they didn't have a lot of material things to give to show their love. Many black people have what is called a "sweet tooth" from growing up eating Mom and Grandma's delicious "sweets" Pies, cakes, homemade ice cream( Essence festival post I rambled on with a bit of black history ) .

It's official!!! Rosewood with the gorgeous Morris Chestnut and beautiful co-star Jaina Lee Ortiz will be airing on September 23 8-9pm before Empire. If you need a refresher Morris Chestnut is cast as the highly intelligent Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. who's a top private pathologist and he owns his own independent lab his biggest clients the police department. His co-star Jaina Lee Ortiz will be his toughest critic as Detective Karissa Villa . The full cast includes Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Maggie Elizabeth, recent addition Nicole Ari Parker will be playing Dr. Beaumont's girlfriend.

Fox's Lucifer Cast Attend Comic Con San Diego 2015

If you didn't attend Comic Con San Diego. You missed a chance to get a peak at Fox's Lucifer pilot episode before the TV airing . ( It will actually come to Fox in 2016)
I did get a few inside opinions after chatting with a few by DM on twitter who had the pleasure of attending Comic Con San Diego. The opinions seemed unanimous Lucifer looked like a hit for Fox.  I asked each one if they thought Lucifer could be as big as Fox's Empire.  No one confidently answered Yes , but they did feel if the writer's continued it could be another big hit.  I did get the opinions it was full of sex, murder and drugs and may be a bit too mature for little one's ( Young children really shouldn't be watching certain shows) 
Of course the women that attended just adored "Tom Ellis" who's the one and only Lucifer. The ladies said Lucifer seem very charming in the pilot while Lucifer's brother the Angel Amenadiel Played by "DB Woodside" really came off as unlikable for now (one used Jerk). After seeing it I thought they both  played their characters very well Tom Ellis seems to  really fit his character's personality Tom Ellis shows a very sweet and charming side in person his twitter feeds really show this type of personality. Db Woodside's character is a bit different from the  business man, lawyer type characters he's been known for.  It's good to see him in a different role.   Here's a few pictures from Comic Con 2015.

Fox Grabs Lucifer For Their 2016 Season

Lucifer from DC Comics will be produced by Warner Brother's TV. The plot follows Lucifer ( The handsome Tom Ellis and that chin dimple:)) who's no longer happy and  quite bored reigning over hell so he retires and decides to make his home in the city of Los Angeles where he runs his on bar called Lux.  Lucifer try to lend LAPD homicide Detective Chloe Dancer (Lauren German) a helping hand in catching Criminals but it takes Det. Chloe Dancer a while to warm up to him.   His Demon who is very fierce Mazikeen aka MAZE  ( The lovely Lesley Ann Brandt) reminds him of who he is.  But he's not alone although Lucifer is seeing flashes of compassion and trying to change his ways.  Lucifer is constantly being watched and encouraged to go back to his kingdom by the Angel Amenadiel played by Db Woodside. Recent addition to the cast is Kevin Rankin as Det. Malcolm Graham.

It's Official Fox Picks Up Rosewood For Their TV Schedule

Congratulations to Morris chestnut and co-star Jaina Lee Ortiz in Fox's Rosewood which has clinched the pre 'Empire' slot on Wednesdays.
Rosewood follows the story of ingenious Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut) who is a Miami pathologist. He works autopsy-for-hire cases he can seems to know secrets of bodies police can't seem to find. But he doesn't work alone. His partner Detective Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) who doesn't take things lightly gets annoyed at times about his optimism but can't deny his unique ability.

Toni Morrison Lastest Novel: God Help The Child

Toni Morrison award winning, over 13 awards One being the Nobel Prize in Literature, literary legend who is 84 years old.  Is showing the world she is no where near retiring or has no thoughts of it. As described in excerpts from the novel " Sudanese black","midnight black" the Mother was so bothered by the color of her child's skin shade she would not allow her daughter to call her "Mama" but only allowed to call her "Sweetness"  Again Mrs. Morrison pulls at the heart strings and touches places that are difficult to address.

LisaRaye McCoy who recently rapped her last episode of "Single Ladies" recently sat down 3/26/15 to interview with Kyle, Kendra and Leon at her hometown radio station WGCI in Chicago to let her fans know what great projects she has coming up. Lisa who has done over 20 films including two tv series "All of US" 2003-07 and "Single Ladies" which is still airing. "The movie "No More Mr. Nice Guy" is currently being filmed an stated to be released 2015 which she also stars in. Ms. McCoy mentioned no longer enjoying Single Ladies after losing several cast members and writer, that she felt it was time to move on. I am so glad to know that Ms. McCoy has moved on to better things she really deserves it. . Something really curious about her interview was when asked if she would be joining the hit TV show Empire Ms. LisaRaye didn't say yes or no. Wow wouldn't that be the Icing on the cake if Ms. LisaRaye became a regular.

Here's one of my personal favorite celebrities to write about.   This remarkable charming woman Golden Brooks. I will refresh your memory if you are pretending you don't know her.  No one could've made the saying " Oh, hell No" more famous than Ms. Brooks delivery of that very famous line as she brought the character Maya Wilkes to life on the popular TV series "Girlfriends" (one of my favorites) .  She has over 34 films (including TV series) some of her most recent work:  The Inheritance (which she received an award for her performance as best actor), CW's Hart of Dixie, TV movie Second Chance Christmas and reality series Hollywood Diva's.  She currently has several movies that are to be released in 2015    I've been lucky enough to have personal interaction with her on twitter and she is one of the most kind , real and humble persons anyone could meet.  We fans have such a blessing to actually get to have contact with.  Harsh but true most celebrities could take lessons on being the type of person Golden is.  If you want to say hey or just wish her well go on over to her twitter @therealgolden47  https://twitter.com/therealgolden47

And yes this was true Pilot after pilot picked up African American actors and actresses about 73 which half were cast in leading roles).  Casting Director's weren't completely convinced with ABC's Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. But after record breaking views for Fox's Empire I think someone got the message. African American's matter in this TV ratings game. A few of the pilots that added African American cast members.
